Do I need an account?
Not to browse tutors, their prices and free times. You only create an account when you book, and the slot you chose will be waiting for you once you log in.
How much does a lesson cost?
Each tutor sets their own hourly rate, shown on their card. The booking window shows the exact price for the lesson length you choose before you confirm anything.
Can I cancel or reschedule a lesson?
Yes, from your dashboard, up to 24 hours before it starts. After that the slot belongs to the tutor, but you can still message them.
Where do lessons take place?
Online. The meeting link waits in your dashboard next to the lesson, behind the “Join” button, which becomes active just before the lesson starts. No need to dig through your emails.
How do I contact my tutor?
Through messages on the site. You can sort out “what should I prepare?” before the lesson without swapping phone numbers.
Where can I find lesson notes and homework?
In “My lessons”, next to each lesson: notes, files and homework from your tutor.
For tutors
How much does it cost?
Creating an account and posting a listing is free. We currently take no commission on your lessons.
How many students can you guarantee me?
We can’t promise a specific number. We’re a new platform. How many students come to you depends on your listing, your rate and your free hours.
How does a student join a lesson?
You set up once in your dashboard how you’ll connect: a Meet, Zoom or Teams link, or a username or number for Discord or WhatsApp. The student sees it next to the lesson in their dashboard and gets an email reminder with the same details a day and an hour before the lesson.
What if a student doesn’t turn up?
After the lesson, you mark in your dashboard whether it took place. A no-show is recorded separately from a cancellation and stays in the lesson history.
Do I have to sign a contract?
No. You can switch off or delete your listing in your dashboard with one click. Lessons that are already booked stay.
Can I have students from outside bookedu?
Yes. Paste an iCal link from Google Calendar, Apple Calendar or Outlook into your dashboard, and times that are busy there will disappear from your free slots.
How do I bring over my reviews from e-korepetycje?
In the My reviews tab, enter the link to your listing and click “Check”. Then you can copy over individual reviews, each labelled with its source.
