In particular when:

- completing a profile;
- publishing a listing;
- booking a lesson;
- exchanging correspondence;
- adding materials, notes or assignments;
- contacting technical support.

Data may be shared in connection with organising a specific lesson, e.g. when a tutor sends materials to a student or a student sends an assignment or a message to a tutor.

If the user chooses to log in via Google or Meta/Facebook, we may receive data made available by that provider, within the scope accepted by the user.

Data processed: in particular first name, surname, email address, authentication data, user role, profile photo and phone number, if provided. Passwords are not stored in plain text.
Retention period: for as long as the account exists and thereafter — to the extent necessary — for the period required to establish, pursue or defend against claims.
5.2. Tutor profile and listing
Purpose: to present the tutor’s offer and to enable students to choose and book lessons.
Legal basis: Article 6(1)(b) GDPR (RODO).
Data processed: may include in particular:
- first name and surname;
- photo;
- profile description;
- subjects;
- teaching levels;

If a tutor adds a link to their profile on an external service or information about the reviews they have there, this data may be displayed in their Bookedu profile to the extent provided by the tutor.
Retention period: until the listing or account is deleted, except for data that must be retained for other legal reasons.
5.3. Calendar and availability
Purpose: to enable booking of free slots and to prevent scheduling conflicts.
Legal basis: Article 6(1)(b) GDPR (RODO).
If the user connects an external calendar to Bookedu, the scope of data processed depends on the integration chosen and the permissions granted by the user.
In particular, we may process information on whether specific time slots are busy without having to store the full content of private events.
5.4. Bookings and organisation of lessons
Purpose: to create, handle and document bookings.
Legal basis: Article 6(1)(b) GDPR (RODO).

Purpose: to enable communication relating to tutoring.
Legal basis: Article 6(1)(b) GDPR (RODO).
Scope: message content, sender and recipient data, date and time of sending, and message status data.
Retention period: as a rule, until the account is deleted, or earlier if the platform allows the conversation to be deleted, subject to the need to retain certain data for evidential or legal purposes.
5.6. Notes, materials and assignments
Purpose: to enable the learning process to be conducted and organised.
Legal basis: Article 6(1)(b) GDPR (RODO).
Materials shared as part of a specific lesson may be accessible to the student and the tutor taking part in it.
Users should not include in materials, messages or notes any information that is not needed to provide the service, in particular special categories of data within the meaning of Article 9 GDPR (RODO).
5.7. Reviews
Purpose: to enable students to rate the lessons they have taken and to provide other users with reliable information about tutors.
Legal basis: Article 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR (RODO), our legitimate interest being to ensure the quality and credibility of the offers available on Bookedu.
A review may be posted only in connection with a lesson booked through Bookedu.

- notices of rescheduling;
- lesson reminders;
- security notices;

Consent may be withdrawn at any time.
Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of prior processing.
5.10. Favourite and saved profiles
Purpose: to enable the user to save selected tutors or offers.
Legal basis: Article 6(1)(b) GDPR (RODO).
A tutor may receive aggregated information about interest in their profile, e.g. the number of views or saves, without disclosing the data of people who merely viewed the offer.
5.11. Handling enquiries and contact with Bookedu
Legal basis: Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (RODO) and, where the contact is aimed at concluding or performing a contract, also Article 6(1)(b) GDPR (RODO).
Our legitimate interest is to serve users, resolve enquiries and protect our rights.
We store the data for the period necessary to close the matter and thereafter for the period required to protect against claims.
